Warmest Hat ever using 5 Strands of Bessie May Nettle Yarn – by Lewy
It is a Nettle Day at Bessie May today, with some more wonderful customer sharing!
Lewy, has kindly shared a beautiful hat design that he made working with ’5′ strands of Bessie May Nettle in Bark, to create what must be the warmest hat ever – his instructions are below, which he worked using 10mm needles.
knit with 5 balls of wool together as one.
Cast on 54 stitches
K2 P2 until length covers your head
k2 together, P2 Together for a row
K1 P1 for 4 rows
K2 togther for a row

k a row
p a row
cut end about 2 foot long
pass through stiches and take off needle.
turn inside out and sew the side up, then pull the excess wool at the top through the stitches to close the top. sew in ends, done!
