Bessie May warm and soft, three colour intarsia Smile Heart Long Cuff Fingerless Mitts. Comfort and style for any winter day. Long cuffs create extra warmth and protection from drafts, and when thumb is removed can be pushed up arm and used as wrist warmers, so you never need to take them off and leave them somewhere by mistake when you are out and about.

Technique

Knitted in the round, increasing as mitt grows, following intarsia chart, utilising three colours, and splitting to make thumb. Great project for increasing skills in working in the round, as well as colour work, as incorporates a small amount of motif work, and also simple colour changing patterns.

4 x 50g Balls – one of each colour: Two balls of Main colour: Battleship Grey (3170), Single Ball of Colour A: Lychee Green (3050) and Single Ball of Colour B: Fair (3110)

Needles: 4 DPNs sizes 4.0 mm

Other: Stitch Holder, Stitch Marker

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm: 24 sts & 28 rows over stocking stitch, using 4.0 mm needles
