Knit Kit ~ Nettle Cable Mitts / Wrist Warmers

A Knit Kit, providing printed pattern, and two, fifty gram balls of Bessie May Nettle, 70% Organic Wool and 30% Nettle Fibre, necessary to make the Nettle Cable Mitts / Wrist Warmers in chosen colour way.

(The Knit Kit includes all necessary yarn for the associated pattern, and the printed pattern. Needles or other notions, which are listed below are not included, but noted so you can ensure you have all you need before your yarn arrives.)

DESIGN

These are created in one size, which fits all, due to the deep soft cables, that increase and decrease to gently change size to fit the shape of your hand. Knitted flat, and stitched together with mattress stitch, leaving a hole for each thumb. Easy to also wear as wrist warmers, by just removing the thumb and pushing up the arm, so no need to keep taking on and off when out and about.

These are an intermediate knit, good for those who have experience of cabling, but would also be a great project for someone wanting to expand their cabling knowledge and skill, as a small project that allows experience of increasing and decreasing while working in cable.

The end result are beautiful, deep and soft mitts, that are stylish and practical, and are great for gifting.

TECHNIQUE

This is an intermediate pattern, as requires increasing and decreasing in cables, although would be a great small project for someone wanting to build their cabling skills, as would result in a lovely pair of mitts, as well as greater cabling experience.

NOTIONS

Yarn:  two 50g balls of Bessie May Nettle, 70% Organic Wool, and 30% Nettle Fibre. (included in Knit Kit). Can also be worked in stripes, so two balls in different colours could be fun, so please ask when you order if you wish to have yarns in different colours.

Needles:  one pair of 5mm knitting needles, and 1 cable needle (not included in Knit Kit)
